Volunteer OPPORTUNITIES

group

Volunteering is an important component to bring communities together and to help meet the needs of community-dwelling older adults. Building partnerships with community members is part of the mission of Goodwill Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN). It is one of the most significant ways in which to accomplish our goal of improving the quality of life of our neighboring older adults.

In an effort to extend the programs reach, NHN provides two community days of service each year. The service days occur in the fall and spring. These projects target yard maintenance and minor home repairs. The service projects allow NHN to engage volunteers from the University of Utah (students, staff, and faulty), and community to participate in the community day of service projects.

NHN is always looking for additional volunteers to support our community days of service. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program at (801) 585-9505 or (801) 585-9156.
