Who We Need
We are seeking Behavioral Health Therapists/Counselors to join our Integrated Outpatient program in Murray and our 16-bed Youth Residential Home in Magna, Utah. In this position, you will provide integrated care for adults and children/adolescence providing mental health services delivering a model of person-centered care. Guided by our core values of People First, Compassion, Integrity, Perseverance, Accountability, and Innovation, you will provide general counseling services to build people skills, solve life issues, and promote personal recovery growth.

Job Summary (Including, but not limited to)

  • Provides services to include but are not limited to assessment, treatment planning, individual therapy, group therapy, coordination of care with members of the teams, staffing meetings as appropriate.
  • Completes documentation to include but not limited to consents, assessments, ISPs, coordination of care with team members, individual therapy, and group therapy.
  • Determines risks for danger to self or others. Use established criteria or tools for assessing acuity of symptoms and service needs. Determine special circumstances that may affect individual’s judgment, ability to participate in treatment planning, and
    forensic/legal involvement.
  • Meets the unique needs of adults or children with substance use concerns and seriously mental illness or co-occurring disorders.
  • Completes documentation by the end of the workday and no later than 24 hrs. from service delivery in accordance with Copa Health's policies and procedures.
  • Assures positive member outcomes by providing exceptional member care and timely documentation of services by consistently meeting optimal engagement and performance standards.
  • Adherence to all agency policies, licensure, and training requirements.
  • Works as part of a clinical team to facilitate recovery and inspire hope while supporting their achievement of service plan goals. Provides ongoing assessment and feedback as to their progress in relation to their service plan, regardless of the members current location.
  • To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department, consistent with Copa Health productivity levels.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health field (Counseling, Social Work)
  • A minimum of one (1) year of full-time work experience in the behavioral health field required.
  • Currently licensed in the State of Utah (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) or actively working towards licensure. Associate's level license is acceptable. Must have licensure within 6 months of hire.
  • DBT certification highly preferred or ability to become DBT certified.
  • Good academic and working knowledge of Community Resources, Psychotropic Medication, Crisis Intervention, Clinical Methods and Procedures, and Intervention Techniques.
  • Ability to be credentialed in accordance to funding source and contractual requirements.
  • Must complete training and demonstrate competence in integrated care skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office and ability to learn new software systems, i.e., EMR/EHR applications.
  • Must be able to pass a full state background check/clearance.
  • Ability to meet Copa’s driver authorized driving requirements, set forth by Copa Health’s insurance company. Including UT Driver’s license upon hire, 39-month MVR, proof of insurance and vehicle registration, if applicable.
  • Bi-Lingual, (English/Spanish) preferred.
