Nearly half of all young refugees experience trauma-related mental health problems. However, protective factors, such as attachment style, may mitigate the impact of traumatic events.

This study examined differences between Ghanaian and U.S. college students on the Hopkins Symptom Checklist-25 (HSCL-25). Data were collected from 465 Ghanaian and 425 U.S. college students.

When veterans need effective mental health treatment, many are reluctant to engage in traditional treatment modalities because of stigma. Therapeutic adventure shows promise as a way to engage veterans and enact positive changes in functioning, but little is known about how therapeutic adventure impacts mental health symptoms among veterans.
