Description: Rates of gender-based violence among refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced people are high. The consequences of experiencing such violence are significant, including both mental and physical negative outcomes. While research on this topic is expanding, less is known about the experiences of gender-based violence among youth, including both children and adolescents. This scoping review addresses this gap in the research by examining the types, rates, and consequences of gender-based violence in this population.
