UU Student Research Assistant for Dr. Danielle Littman

Job Description

Dr. Danielle Littman is looking to hire a UU Student – Research (0672) to support an evaluation and assessment of safety and belonging at the Hartland Partnership Center, run by University Neighborhood Partners. This project is a community-based research project and is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in community-engaged research/practice, place-based work, and mapping or qualitative methods. This position is not eligible for the Graduate Tuition Benefit Program.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support data collection and analysis
  • Support project management in logistics (e.g., participant incentives, procuring supplies, communicating with participants)

Qualifications

  • MSW student or similar graduate degree
  • Must complete CITI training within the first 2 weeks of hire

Preferences

  • Preference for student with experience or interest in community-engaged research or practice methods

Position Details

The position will be up to 5 hours per week, June 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

  • Pay will be $25.00 per hour
  • All applicants must be employment eligible and an active College of Social Work MSW student during the employment period
  • Hybrid work is an option, but some work will happen on-site at Hartland Partnership Center on the West Side of SLC
