First-Year Coursework

Eligibility

The minimum requirements to apply are a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university, a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and completion of the MSW prerequisites.

 

FAQs

Students choose their Area of Focus during spring semester of the first year of the MSW program. After attending a meeting about second year program options, including the Areas of Focus and graduate certificates, students submit declaration paperwork to the MSW Advisor.

The program begins during fall semester, which typically begins the third week of August.

First-year courses are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Second year courses are held on Thursdays and Fridays. Practicum is completed on the other weekdays. The majority of practicum placements are during normal business hours.

No. Students admitted to the on campus MSW Programs must complete all courses outlined and offered to students in the program to which they are admitted. There will be a limited number of online courses available specifically to on campus students. However, students may not mix and match courses from the on-campus and online programs or switch between programs.

Students are not permitted to switch between the on campus MSW Program options and the MSW Online Program.
