Criminology and Corrections
The Criminology and Corrections specialization focuses on understanding crime, criminal behavior, and the systems designed to respond to and prevent it. Students examine empirical research on crime, the tools and methods used to study and reduce criminal behavior, and the institutions involved in the processing of juvenile and adult offenders.
Within Human and Health Services, this specialization emphasizes prevention, rehabilitation, reentry, and community-based approaches that address the social and behavioral factors connected to justice involvement.
