Overview
What happens when crisis counselors are stretched too thin? This presentation will illuminate the real-time pressures counselors face and what’s at stake when their capacity is exceeded. Meghan Takahashi shares findings from a large-scale study of regional text-based crisis counseling data, examining how multitasking—measured by simultaneous chats and message volume—affects response times, suicide risk assessments, and client engagement.
