Overview

This online lecture explores ageism and the assumptions society makes about aging.
Led by gerontologist Anne Asman, the talk examines how age-based bias affects health and well-being, challenges common myths about older adults, and offers ways to shift the narrative toward recognizing aging as a time of wisdom, resilience, and experience.
The event is part of the University of Utah College of Social Work’s Grand Challenges for Social Work lecture series and is free and open to the public.
