Job Description:

Wasatch Pediatrics is offering Behavioral Health Services to patients and families in our primary care pediatric clinics as part of our mission to provide superior care.  The chosen candidate will be a member of the primary care team and help develop plans for behavioral improvement or other lifestyle changes. The BHC will provide assistance with emotional or behavioral problems, difficulties with family or relationships, grief, stress, depression, anxiety, anger, etc. in an integrated medical and behavioral health setting.  Full and part time positions available.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical services as part of an integrated medical and behavioral health team including;
    • Diagnostic assessments
    • Psychotherapy
    • Brief interventions
    • Treatment planning
    • Care coordination
    • Documentation
    • Crisis intervention
  • Consult and collaborate frequently with Primary Care Physicians, medical staff, community partners, and families.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
  • Minimum licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) in the State of Utah.
  • Efficient assessment skills and evaluation techniques.
  • Expertise in multiple modes of psychotherapy for children, families, and parenting support.
  • General knowledge of psychiatric and psycho-pharmaceutical treatment of behavioral health disorders.
  • Solid behavior assessment, modification, and skill development abilities.
  • Understanding of child developmental stages and age appropriate behavioral health development.
  • Working knowledge of local behavioral health community and resources.
  • Meets all accepted standards of behavioral health ethics and clinical practice.
  • High level of comfort with effective consultation methods and working interactively with a care team.
  • Ability to act independently, respond professionally and calmly in crisis or otherwise, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and apply general principles to specific conditions.

Teton Youth and Family Services/Van Vleck House is hiring for the position of a full-time Master’s Level Individual and Family Therapist. (LCSW, LMFT, LPC etc.) Individuals who are provisionally licensed may also apply.

Located in Jackson, Wyoming, the Van Vleck House is a Group Home and Crisis Shelter for adolescents age 10-17. In operation since 1977, we serve adolescents and families in Northwest Wyoming including Pinedale, Big Piney, Star Valley and Jackson. Our 9 bed Group Home houses adolescents who have been court ordered to complete our program as the result of a status offense or who, because of abuse or neglect, have been placed in the protective custody of the courts. The 5 bed Crisis Shelter is for voluntary placements of up to 30 days when a child and family need some time to assess their current pattern of behavior.

A qualified candidate will have experience with or knowledge of the cognitive and social development of adolescents, an understanding of family and systems theory as well as an understanding of a trauma informed approach.  Benefits are available and Salary is commensurate with experience.

Requirements/Licensure/Experience

Qualified applicants must be a Licensed Mental Health Professional, including: CSW, LCSW, CMHC, ACMHC, LMFT, MFTI.  Graduate degree in mental health field. Minimum two years experience in direct clinical care. This is a full-time position and the work schedule requires working some nights and weekends.

  • Actively utilize the treatment team for clinical support on 9-10 person case load.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities with clients.
  • Connect clients to community resources.
  • Proactively involve and communicate with collateral supports, including family, significant others, probation officers, judges, caseworkers, and others
  • Document all incidents immediately and report as required.
  • Complete accurate and thorough client reports, such as court reports, in required timeframes
  • Other duties as assigned.
