Qualifications:

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in providing behavior management training for children with autism.

Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center for Learning is seeking a full-time autism specialist.  This position is the lead teacher/counselor in a structured, treatment room/classroom setting working with pre-school age children with autism.

Location:  780 South Guardsman Way, SLC, 84108

 

Schedule: M-F; 40hrs

 

Pay: $14.21 or higher commensurate with experience

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and track care plan goals and review progress and outcomes with treatment team.
  • Administer developmental and adaptive assessments to determine present levels of functioning and to track and assess progress.
  • Design and provide consistent positive behavior supports utilizing strategies from applied behavior analysis to support skills development in the treatment setting.
  • Collect and analyze data for individual plans and goals.
  • Design and assist parents to implement individualized programs that develop social and academic skills of youth with autism.
  • Professional, comprehensive documentation of services provided to each client in on-line record.

IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR FULL TIME LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST

JOB SUMMARY:  Full time Licensed Psychologist to provide comprehensive mental health services to very young children and their families including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and Family and Individual Child Therapy. Clientele includes children with severe emotional and behavioral problems, early childhood trauma, and children with autism spectrum disorders and their families.  Successful candidates must demonstrate clinical experience with toddlers and preschool aged children and experience with evidence based trauma treatments.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Utah licensure as Psychologist
  • Clinical experience with children birth to age seven and their families
  • Experience using evidence based interventions for childhood trauma
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities for assignments, meet deadlines, and enthusiastically participate as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Highly motivated to learn new skills and work in a stimulating and busy clinical environment
