Social Work Care Manager
This role provides a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment with exposure to several different areas of social work. Each shift will provide new opportunities that will challenge your critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. This position involves: supporting pediatric patients and their family members as they navigate emergent medical needs, engaging in substance use and mental health assessments, and providing resources to "help people live the healthiest lives possible."

Position Details:This role will work in the Emergency Department at Primary Children's Hospital. The position require flexibility in covering day, evening, and overnight shifts. Weekend and holiday availability is required, with holiday assignments shared amongst team members.
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience and licensure.
CSW licensure: 29.89 – 46.14
LCSW licensure: 32.90 – 50.76
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution.
Degree will be verified.
Current State Licensure as a CSW or LCSW
Computer Skills, i.e., email, word processing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with patients, families, and treatment teams.
Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs,
operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require
employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information,
alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- and -
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment
with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting
patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- and -
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling
gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate
crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).

May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
