The Social Work program at Providence College was first accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) in 1976 and has been continuously accredited since that time. The Department of Social Work and college highly values student-centered and interactive pedagogy to support and mentor our students within and across disciplines. The department also supports faculty-student research collaboration/mentoring.

The focus of teaching is research/statistics and diversity, anti-racist and intersectionality courses. The successful candidate will also establish a scholarly research program and possess a willingness to be active in professional service to the college’s expectations of tenured/pre-tenured faculty members.
