Research Analyst
Job Summary |
Hybrid work opportunity: Employees must reside in the state of Utah but will have
the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule of in person and remote work. This position
will assist UCJC research faculty and staff with a variety of projects including program evaluation
and technical assistance with programs serving criminal justice populations. Technical
assistance will include tasks such as the development of online training modules,
conducting focus groups and online surveys, tracking and reporting program completion
of training requirements, and assistance with the planning of virtual and on-site
training and events. This position collaborates with outside criminal-justice agencies,
departments and faculty within and outside the University campus, as research projects
require. Responds to request for information about projects, submits contract reports
for projects, and works with research faculty and staff in the design and preparation
of research projects. Collects, enters, analyzes and maintains records and files of
research data. Prepares and revises project reports, proposals, curriculum materials
and research papers

Responsibilities |
Compiles data from a variety of sources.
Enters data into the computer system. Assists in the preparation of manuscripts and presentation materials. Assists in planning and development of technical assistance resources Maintains files and records of research data. Drafts correspondence to answer inquiries and respond to requests about the projects. Edits research papers, project reports, and publication materials. May travel to a variety of sites both within and outside the University campus to obtain data. Work Environment and Level of Frequency that may be required

Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking.

Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field, or equivalency, plus two years of related experience. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. A valid Utah Driver’s License may be required in certain departments. |
