About Us

Eva Carlston Academy is a specialized residential treatment program for adolescent girls who struggle with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues. Eva Carlston Academy complements intensive, sophisticated psychotherapy with a robust program of art therapy, accredited academics, life-skills instruction, and therapeutic recreation. Students live in a residential setting that is family style while engaging in off campus community activities daily such as exercise, volunteering, cultural events and outdoor activities. All elements of our program are oriented toward helping students discover and develop a voice for themselves and passion for life.

Eva Carlston Academy is recognized as a leader in mental health care and is highly regarded amongst residential treatment programs. Our team is composed of seasoned, licensed therapists, who serve as role models and mentors to the students in the program as they address issues such as devastating trauma, clinical depression, loss and anxiety. To support and accelerate this work, we incorporate therapeutic elements into every aspect of our student’s lives by utilizing a research-validated, milieu-based therapeutic modality that helps clients achieve greater emotional health and independence.

Primary Responsibilities

Therapists at Eva Carlston Academy are the primary contact and case managers for their clients, acting as valuable advocates and contributors to the overall treatment process.

  • Maintain a caseload of 6-7 clients by providing weekly individual and family therapy.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team on therapeutic objectives, specialized interventions, and experiential activities.
  • Facilitating specialized and community group therapy sessions
  • Completing clinical documentation including assessments, treatment plans, session notes.
  • Providing on-call support on a rotating schedule.
  • Attending professional development and continuing education offerings.


  • Master’s Degree
  • Licensed preferred
  • 1 year of clinical experience
  • Experience in residential treatment settings is preferred but not required.
