Position

We are seeking a therapist licensed in the State of Idaho, or who is willing to be.  Job skills include being motivated, compassionate, organized, and flexible.  Tasks inlcude individual therapy (for both adults and children, family, substance abuse, and/or group therapy.

Weekly supervsion is available for licensure.  We are an NHSC - National Health Service Core approved facility.  Which provides the opportunity for eligible therapists to get student loans repaid!

The Agency

Lemhi Valley Social Services (LVSS) is a small, privately owened agency with 2 offices, one in Salmon and Challis, ID.  We have been providing mental health services in Lemhi County since 1992.  We serve both children and adults; provide case management, peer supports, CMRS (community based rehabilitation services), court ordered substance abuse treatment, individual and family psychotherapy, and MRT (moral recognition therapy) for the individuals diagnozed with both mental illness and/or substance abuse.  We are also approved as a substance abuse facility with the State of Idaho.

The Community

Salmon and Challis are small rural towns both nestled along the Salmon River.  Move to Salmon to play outside!  Activities include: whitewater rafting, backcountry hiking, mountain biking, world famous hot springs, snow shoeing and skiing.

A sign on bonus of $1000 will be given after 6 months.
