Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office - Multiple Positions

The Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office are hiring multiple positions.  Mental health professionals are an essential component to our mission of reducing recidivism and helping individuals address often undiagnosed or untreated mental health challenges.

While the patients and environment offer unique challenges, mental health professionals in our organization say,

  • “This environment gave me the opportunity to work with a variety of diagnoses and needs; it was the best preparation   I could have ever received for my career.”
  • “Some of my most rewarding professional experiences were working with an incarcerated person and their family to   understand some of the underlying reasons for their behavior for the first time.”
  • “ I wanted to make a difference in my community and found that working in the jail really allowed me to do that.”

Our therapists work inside the jail providing 1:1 counseling, group therapy, crisis response, and assessments.

The Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office offers full-time positions for:

Certified Social Workers (Mental Health Therapist 14)

Licensed Clinical Social Workers (Mental Health Therapist 15)
