Property Management Case Manager
Job Title: Ville PM Case Manager
Description: Ville Property Management provides affordable, no-barrier housing in
an effort to help house some of the most vulnerable members of our community. We currently
operate seven converted apartment complexes
across Utah, providing 250 affordable apartments, and work closely with community
partners to provide housing opportunities for individuals that have previously experienced
homelessness and receive rental assistance. We believe that housing is a human right
and our goal is to sustainably serve our community with affordable, no-barrier housing,
and support tenant housing stability through case management services.
Ville Property Management is looking for employees that have a similar commitment to serving our community. We are seeking Case Managers to help provide compassion and assistance for individuals experiencing homelessness in an emergency overflow shelter, the High Needs Motel. Our Case Management Team will partner with The Road Home to run the High Needs Motel in an effort to provide safety and protection for high-risk individuals from Covid-19 and the outdoor elements. This Case Management Team will also help transition the High Needs Hotel into an affordable, no-barrier housing complex in April.
Position Status: Full – Time, flexible hours
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Benefits: Health Care Plan, Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, and Public Holidays)
Location: High Needs Hotel in North Salt Lake City
Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide compassionate customer service to hotel guests and residents.
2. Problem-solve community concerns and support outreach teams.
3. Provide individual case management services to guests and residents. This includes
crisis intervention, problem solving, goal setting, coordination with partner agencies
and community resources, and referrals to local substance abuse programs.
4. Keep records, case management notes, and statistical data as required and participate
in research and/or special projects as needed.
5. Work as part of a team that strives to serve and protect individuals experiencing
homelessness in our community.
6. Other responsibilities as assigned.
7. Partner with The Road Home Case Management team to:
a. Assist with the coordination of COVID-19 testing of residents.
b. Ensure guests and residents are practicing social distancing and COVID-19 hygienic
practices.
c. Distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
Required Education and Experience:
1. Experience working with diverse populations.
2. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Required Skills:
1. Strong interpersonal and excellent customer service skills and ability to work
with diverse populations.
2. Interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis
and distress.
3. Follow strict data privacy guidelines.
4. Understand when to refer individuals or situations to medical, social, or supervisory
resources.
5. Demonstrate emotional intelligence.
6. Be flexible and adaptable.
7. Good computer skills.
8. Creativeness in problem-solving.
9. Willingness to accept supervision, direction, and constructive feedback.
10. Willing to be a proactive member of a team.
11. Reliable and dependable.
12. Ability to communicate effectively and handle difficult situations with professionalism
and compassion from a Trauma-Informed Care framework.
13. Understanding of the Housing First philosophy. Willingness to have conversations
with guests about housing.
14. Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse populations. Ability to contribute
to the agency’s commitment to enhancing awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic
and cultural heritages.
15. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift 25 pounds.
2. Ability to stand and/or walk for at least an hour or more.
