Farmer's Market Assistant

Liberty Wells Community Council is hiring a temporary summer Double Ups Bucks Assistant for the Liberty Park Farmer's market. Pay is $20/hr and we'd be looking for someone to cover 10-18 Fridays between June 11-October 15 (would want a bit of flexibility to schedule these Fridays based on other volunteer availability). The hours are 3:45-dusk, so in June it would be 5-6 hours/night and in October it would be 3-4 hours/night. I've listed the responsibilities below:

Administer Double Up Food Bucks grant program at Liberty Park Market. This involves:

  • Attending 10-18 Friday markets between June 11-October 15, 2021, from 3:45-close (at dusk)
  • Using point-of-sale equipment to accept EBT card payments from attendees and dispersing the appropriate number of tokens to be used at the market
  • Educating Double Up Food Bucks recipients on proper use of tokens
  • Recording transactions on provided paper record-sheets and into FM Tracks (tracking app) using provided iPad
  • Reimbursing vendors for tokens used at the market and recording vendor reimbursements on paper record-sheets and into FM Tracks
  • Ability to work independently and with volunteers.

Apply by sending resume and cover letter to with subject line "Farmers Market Double Up Assistant". More info about LWCC is available here:
