Regional Trainer

Utah Foster Care Foundation, a non-profit child welfare agency, is seeking a team member that will work as a Regional Trainer in Eastern Utah, from Vernal to Blanding.

Duties include:

  • Training potential and current foster/adoptive families: Pre-service Series 24+ hours/month and In-service classes 4-6+ hours/month
  • Data entry and reporting
  • Training class preparation
  • Ongoing support of trainees
  • Curriculum review/development
  • Organizing in-service trainings for current foster families
  • Regional coordination with Division of Child and Family Services and other community partners
  • Coordinating with Recruitment and Retention programs
  • Other duties as assigned


Job qualifications and requirements:

Master’s degree in Human Sciences field or commensurate combination of education and experience

Working knowledge of evidenced based and trauma-informed curriculums

Public speaking and presentation skills necessary

Skilled PowerPoint (or similar programs), Excel, and online presentation platforms (Zoom, GoToMeeting, Crowdcast, etc)

Valid Driver’s License and reliable registered transportation required

Experience with a non-profit or child welfare agency is preferred

Knowledge of DCFS foster care/adoption policy, procedure and licensing is preferred

Evenings and some weekends

Travel required
