Clinical Admissions Director

Shortridge Academy is expanding its Admissions team and is seeking a Clinical Admissions Director to coordinate the process of recruiting and selecting applicants for admissions. Responsible to the Executive Admissions Director, the Clinical Admissions Director functions as a key member of the Management Team and ensures an adequate number of suitable applicants for admissions.

The position requires the ability to work efficiently in a demanding environment with a high level of judgement and degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both internally with staff and students and externally with parents, referral sources and vendors, as well as the ability to interact with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, are critically important for this role.


  • Represents Shortridge Academy mission and values in serving as a public facing role
  • Manages the process of all incoming inquiries and admitting appropriate clients
  • Tracks data related to prospective clients and referral sources
  • Engages prospective clients and families in the admissions process and intake
  • Leads tactics and informs strategy related to marketing, public relations, and admissions; including related workflows and systems
  • Interfaces with and provides reports for CEO, Head of School, and executive team
  • Grows admissions department; trains, develops and oversees admissions staff

Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge requirements: 

  • Admissions and/or call center experience
  • Knowledge and experience with CRM, inside or outside sales, and customer service
  • Experience working with students with social, emotional,  or educational issues
  • Clinical training preferred for assessments
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Sales knowledge 
  • Empathic personality 
  • Ability to handle sensitive and personal information while complying with HIPAA
