Clinical Social Worker Care Manager

The University Counseling Center (UCC) at The University of Utah enthusiastically welcomes applications for a 12-month Clinical Social Worker Care Manager to become an integral member of our dynamic multidisciplinary team. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week). Responsibilities include: provision of primarily face-to-face care management for students in need of longer term or more specialized treatment, follow-up on all referrals, supervision of two social work practicum students who support the functions of the care manager, development of an online community referral database, collaboration with community mental health providers and agencies -specifically free and low cost mental health providers, and other relevant duties as assigned. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to cultural humility and affirmative care for all students served.

The UCC is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS). Our staff is composed of professionals from psychology, social work, and APRN backgrounds. We have several nationally recognized training programs, including a doctoral psychology internship accredited by the American Psychological Association, a master’s internship in Social Work, and practica in Counseling Psychology and Clinical Psychology. Qualifications: Current licensure (strongly preferred) or eligibility for licensure in the State of Utah in Social Work, two years of clinical experience with adults and late adolescents, strong clinical skills, and impeccable verbal and written communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in clinical care management, college student mental health, crisis interventions, and working with diverse communities. Familiarity with Salt Lake Valley community mental health resources is essential. Fluency in Mandarin, Arabic or a language other than English is also preferred.

This is a full-time benefitted position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week. Evenings and weekends possible. Salary to be commensurate with experience and qualifications as departmental budget allows and will be paid over a 12 month period.
