The Housing Not Jail (HNJ) Supervisor will work within a homeless shelter system that provides emergency shelter to over 1,000 individuals nightly and permanent supportive housing to over 1,700 individuals each day. The HNJ Supervisor will provide supervision and oversight to a multi-disciplinary team of 2 x Housing Specialists, 2 x Case Managers, an Employment Specialist, a Mental Health Clinician, and a VISTA volunteer. The team provides Housing First, Trauma-Informed services within a Progressive Engagement framework to individuals experiencing homelessness. HNJ is an innovative Pay For Success program and is delivered in partnership with Salt Lake County, the Sorensen Impact Center, Utah Criminal Justice Center, and Volunteers of America.
The Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager will work as part of our Housing Case Management Team at The Road Home to provide direct case management services to families who have moved out of homelessness and are living in housing in the community. This passionate self starter will work for the state’s largest nonprofit housing provider and the state’s largest homeless shelter where assistance is given to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to help people move out of homelessness and into housing in the community.
This AmeriCorps position is an exciting opportunity to assist Wasatch Community Gardens’ GREEN TEAM Farm Director in running a garden-based job training farm for eight women experiencing homelessness, as well as support the Community Education Director in facilitating on-going organic gardening workshops and organizational events. This position will be responsible for doing basic farm and garden work, assisting with administrative tasks, facilitating adult workshops, and assisting as needed at all organizational events.
