The Director of Shelter for Unaccompanied Men and Women is responsible for the overall administration of The Road Home’s adult shelter program serving men and women at our Salt Lake locations. The Director provides leadership for the day-to-day operation of the Salt Lake Community Shelter and Resource Center facility and winter shelter site and program accountability to ensure service goals are met or exceeded. The Director will work with senior staff to transition from the Salt Lake Community Shelter to the new South Salt Lake’s Men’s Resource Center in July 2019.
The Family Assistance and Support Team (FAST) provides case management and behavioral health services to families moving out of homelessness and back into the community. The team’s approach is trauma-informed and adheres to a Housing First perspective.
Volunteers of America, Utah provides a bridge to self-reliance and health for vulnerable individuals and populations who struggle with homelessness, addiction, and mental illness. Join our Homeless Outreach Team to find and work with homeless individuals who are located in any area of the Salt Lake Valley. Involves working outdoors: driving, walking and hiking to reach homeless camps.
The clinician is a primary point of contact with the partnering local Public Housing Authority and provides comprehensive social work services to homeless veterans and their families enrolled in the HUD-VASH program to ensure the Veteran's care is appropriately coordinated with the VA Medical Facility, community health or mental health providers, and agencies that serve homeless populations.
