Volunteering is such an important component of bringing our communities together and helping meet the needs of our older neighbors. Building partnerships with community members is part of the mission of Neighbors Helping Neighbors(NHN). It is one of the most significant ways in which to accomplish our goal of improving the quality of life of our neighboring older adults.
NHN is always looking for additional volunteers to support our community days of service.. In addition to various ongoing projects, we also have projects that require volunteers on an as-needed basis. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program at (801) 585-9505 or (801) 585-9156.
In an effort to extend the programs reach, NHN provides three community days of service each year. These projects target yard maintenance and minor home repairs The service days occur in the fall, spring, and summer. These service projects allow NHN to engage volunteers from the University community, (students, staff, and faulty), and community volunteers.
For your convenience, you may complete the Volunteer Contact Form and the NHN Video Consent Form prior to volunteering for a NHN service day. This documentation is very important for accountability purposes and tracking volunteer time. You can fill them out electronically and email them or print out the forms and mail, fax, or drop them off in person to the address below:
