Senior Support Program

The Senior Support Program is a program of the W.D. Goodwill Initiatives on Aging at the University of Utah College of Social Work. The Senior Support Program is dedicated to providing free, high quality, comprehensive assistance to Utah’s older adults and their families. The Program was developed in response to the challenges older clients face in navigating multiple systems to meet their health needs, plan for the future, and generally negotiate daily life. Through the Senior Support Program, elderly clients can call or meet with knowledgeable and experienced College staff to discuss any care needs they might have.

The services provided by the Senior Support Program are based on a professional assessment of each individual’s situation. These services may include:

  • information and referral
  • individual and family counseling
  • help with applications for public services

Services are provided free of charge, without any financial eligibility requirement. (Priority will be given to those in greatest need.)
