Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic
- In-depth site visits to a variety of social service agencies including child welfare, refugee minority community, psychiatric, homeless, older adult, domestic violence and women's programs
- Agency visits will be arranged according to the interest of the participants
- Housing in university dorms or home stay
- March/April or early May

Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), Innsbruck, Austria
- Participate in classes with MCI MSW students (classes conducted in English)
- Housing to be facilitated by MCI

- Practicum oopportunities at local NGOs with opportunity to observe/participate in community development, family therapy, and substance abuse treatment programs
- Live in college dorm
- 4-6 week internships available from May - August
- Cost: Airfare approx. $2,000; program fee approx. $300; room and board approx. $600

- Opportunity to observe/participate in NGOs with an emphasis on community development and advocacy
- Available any time of year
- Cost: Program fees approx. $500, airfare approx. $1,800, housing at TISS dorms $200/month plus cost of meals

Important Considerations
Student Profile
- Mature, flexible, non-judgemental, enthusiastic, and responsible.
- Prior work with international populations and/or international experience is desirable, but not required.
Costs
- Learning Abroad Program Fee: as noted above. Program fees include course registration. Individualized Study Abroad, International Practica, Independent Study Abroad, and Independent Study/Research: Costs given are approximate and vary depending upon the program and location. Course registration and personal expenses are in addition to the above noted costs.
Funding
- University of Utah Financial Aid & Scholarship information is available at www.sa.utah.edu/inter/sap/finance.asp. Students can apply for a Student Fee Study Abroad Scholarship and others. The application deadlines vary; refer to the website for details.
- University of Utah College of Social Work scholarships of $500 are available for students completing international educational opportunities.
