All students in the full-time, two-year (60-credit-hour) MSW programs take the same sequence of courses in the first year, as well as 450 contact hours in a field placement (practicum). In the second year, students select a specific curricular concentration, in which required courses are tailored to the knowledge and skills of social work practice as they pertain to the specific client populations and evidenced-based practice in each particular area. To view course descriptions for the College of Social Work curriculum, please see the University’s General Catalog or the clicking on this link for the MSW Handbook.
